    Kilted at the Company Party

Well, the company party was Friday night. We rented a room at the hotel where the party was. Walked into the room with my lovely wife, and just about all heads turned my way. My new USA MacRae Semi Trad, Black shirt, and black hose. Danced and had a good time. The new president of the company is a Ross and I may get him into a kilt next year. Way too many 12 oz curls. One woman kept asking my wife "the question". Joan never answers, just smiles. Now this woman thinks I am really something. The question never really got answered. My immediate supervisor kept trying to call me on my cell phone to tell me to keep my knees together. I just kept the sporran tight down on the chair. Anyway, I left the stupid cell phone in the room. Had lots of fun and no hangover the nest day. Spent most of the next day kilted. Lots of people stop and ask what the tartan is. Lots of smiles and great comments. And I always stand taller when kilted.

    Congratulations.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

    Most cool.

I think when you can't wear kilts to the office, wearing them to a company party sends the message, "Hey folks, I have a life outside the office."

Or, "Can't always let my cajones show in the chain of command at work, but folks - I've got a set."

That semi-trad is a swisher for sure.

Great story and a good opportunity to tell people about your kilt wearing.
