With Christmas around the corner, I wanted to settle my account with Matt which I've now done. Matt says I'm 6th in line, two to three weeks away. Maybe in time to be wearing when singing, "Auld Lang Syne!"

Two on the way!
Received an email today from Matt that my two St. Columba tartans are on the way! An email from FedEx reports they should be arriving on Wednesday. Oh boy, oh boy!

Dang, I ordered mine on November 25th. Guess I'm in for a long wait. mine is in ancient Keith- my family tartan. I have got a long wait, but I can't wait, can't wait! I like the idea of a who's next list!

Hmm..
What a bunch of whiners Three or four month waiting is good for you. Builds Character. (I know, Grant is already a character, but there is always room for improvement eh?)
I feel that I have the right to brag when it comes to waiting for a kilt delivery. Going on three years now, I have waited (More or less patiently) for a kilt from a well known maker who walks among us. He assures me that all will be well, and I am choosing to believe him.
When it arrives, I know that I will wear it proudly to the next kilt night and show it off.
So I ask you gentle readers.. If three months waiting builds character, what does three years do?
I await your learned responses.
Cheers,
Rick

I sent my fabric and check to Matt the week before Christmas.

I'm looking forward to having a spankin' new box pleated kilt for our Annual Family Gathering and my nieces wedding; both in May.
I hope it's here by then

"room for improvement" doesn't even begin to cover Grant!

While I'm not sure all the circumstances, I do know who you're referring to. All I can say is: I simply would not wait 3 years for a kilt, no matter who the maker. That is definitely a 'bit much'.
