San Diego Kilties gather
As the New England Patriots played to, what in the end, seemed their inevitable victory over the Florida Jaguars, four kilted stalwarts met to solve the problems of the world. James MacMillan, Coinneach, KiltedinUSMC and UGM84 arrived at R. O'Sullivan's in Escondido, California in full, kilted splendor.
I had on my beloved Leatherneck tartan, with a blue sport jacket conversion and leather nightstalker sporran; Coinneach wore the Black Stewart with a light yellow shirt, leather wind-breaker and the nylon nightstalker; KiltedinUSMC sported his Blackwatch and a black T-Shirt with a Buzz Kidder sporran; UGM84 arrived in Weathered Lamont and an urban warfare sweater with another nylon nightstalker sporran.
The patrons and waitress at O’Sullivans are either very worldly or extremely jaded, because there was not one comment or even sideways glance. We sampled the best Guinness beer in North San Diego County, served at the correct temperature and with a satisfying thick head.
At the end of the evening, well after the Patriots 31-20 win over Jacksonville, we wondered outside to go our way, and asked our waitress to take a picture.
Pictured below, left to right is UGM84, Coinneach, KiltedinUSMC and James MacMillan. The cards we are holding proclaim us as official “Hooters Recruiters” which it has been decided, will be the site of the February gathering. More info to follow.

Oops! I didn't see this and posted my pics in our original kiltnight posting...the pics are almost identical, but there is a closeup of "the badge" here.

Good looking bunch of rabble, James my wife and I go to California usually 3-4 times a year and usually stay in the San Clamente area. Maybe we could hook up one of these times.

A fine kilted rabble there. I really enjoy looking at these group photos with the usernames underneath.
