Sounds like a brand of cheap scotch made for the store. I know that Stater Bros. out here has their own brand of scotch; perhaps it's something like that.

It seems it's just not kilts that are going cheap these days. It looks like any type of clothing that can be made cheaper and in mass quanities is hitting the market.
And as some have said, it has up sides and then there are down sides. In my opinion, just my opinion, I would rather spend on quality. I feel bad for craftsmen sometimes.

I found this link that may help:

Like a lot of LIDL stuff this seems to be 'end of line' product. So while you are wearing your cheap kilt to work on the car you can use this to clean the fuel lines (your's or the car's). (haha)
BTW I actually do buy in LIDL. The food is of good quality and I have picked up some very useful stuff from the 'specials'. Just select with care as some products may be of lower quality. I enjoy going there as it has a feel of shopping while on holiday. Now, if I can persuade my local store to stock the kilt.....

Maybe for you, but I'm a complex polygon with thousands of sides!
