Important Scottish Literary News!
The US Library of Congress had re-categorized Scottish literature as a subset of English literature (perish the thought!). They have seen the error of their ways. See article in today's washington post dot com.

And they should know better about John Buchan as he was once Governor General of Canada!
I wonder if they have done the same for Welsh literature?

Can you just imagine the uproar if they had attempted to reclassify American literature as English?

Some of my fellow librarians & I were just discussing this. We work with the LC system on a daily basis, and believe you me, it's hard to understand how the LC works at times.
