That is a most impressive demonstration of gratuitous carnal knowledge involving a deceased canine, but the Navy Post Office has those guys beat.
Granny sent me some Blue Jeans to the Nimitz (Hey she didn't know any better) for my birthday in 1981. They were returned to her address when I was there for a visit in 1983.
Thanks be that it was only bifurcated garments

Okay, here are some low light photos. Please try to keep in mind that I am severely overweight and the kilt, believe it or not has a nice slimming effect. I could post a pic without the kilt, but that would almost surely violate forum rules and decorum in general

Also, these pics were taken after the kilt was taken from the box, worn driving a car for over an hour. Please stay tuned for detailed pics and review after a suitable evaluation period.
Note the footwear: White hanes ankle socks and traditional Scottish Tactical Moccasins. The kilt has slash pockets, side cargo pockets, rear welt pockets, and a Traditional Scottish Ipod pocket under the apron.

Review is almost done...
Well one more week O' chores and scores in this kilt and I will start taking pics. Review is shaping up.
Here is a preview of the power O' the FK cargo model:
SO there I was @ 30,000 feet up and no parachute. I had walked into a classy little Bistro down to the beach to check on a good friend and two clowns at the bar ask me "what's up with the skirt".
They weren't local, in worse physical shape than me and clearly some sort of office pukes. They are tourists not engaged in any kind of manual labor or training, and I got at least 80 lbs on either. I am considered local here, and in fact a respected waiter/cook/bartender/restaurant dude in these parts.
I am wearing black pocket T, black FK, black hose, black boots. I smile my broken tooth smile and tell them:
"It's a great way to start barfights."
They quickly bought me a drink. After I slammed the pint in less than two counts (American pint, straight sided glass actually about 15 oz) one says "Only a man in a kilt can do that!".
Their education complete, I resumed my search. Must have gotten ten compliments on my FK yesterday (It was the after labor day party I wanted to wear the kilt to. Darts, Drinkin, and a send off for two dear old friends leaving for TX) Also got a kilt check! Glad my wife knew the lady - that could have been trouble.
Hope to post my completed review next weekend or sooner.

O.k. Almost completed six months of hard wear in this kilt. Finally got the apron edges to curl after some unspeakable abuse. Have a few more stupid things to do to this garment before the review is complete.
For a preview: this is one stoutly made fine garment. Details to follow......

A year in the Fk seven pocket cargo kilt
Well, it has been almost thirteen months since my FK 7 pocket cargo kilt in black poly twill arrived. I also have a UK, 7 SWKs', and four PDKs' (perldog kilts, rolled me own).
The FK gets the most play by far. After seven months of wondering what would knock this kilt out of shape, the ball on the floor storage method was applied. No good, it still kept it's shape. Then I dried it in the dryer with a full load and stuffed it all into a laundry bag for three days. Still wore well.
I have worn this kilt extensively working in a dusty warehouse and gotten tons of concrete dust on it from handing out bags of quikrete. It has been worn for yardwork and chores about the woodlot.
At the range (practicing with arms similar to those carried by the highland regiments), even hunting with my trusty bow, and on all manner of social adventures. This kilt consistently gets me compliments and has never let me down.
Note- when hunting during the early archery season whilst kilted, one may wish to abandon "scent control" and use copious amounts of insect repellent to deter chiggers (midges). That's a mistake I won't be making again any time soon.
This kilted man is a blue collar guy, with blue collar money. The freedom kilt is hands down the best bargain I ever got on a garment. To duplicate the features it would take me a week, and many more attempts before I could come close to the workmanship.
The seams are all expertly done, every detail shows skill and pride. The front slash pockets, while a bit small for big mitts, are handy in the extreme. The kilt has so much storage that I was able to carry water and all my gear bowhunting in my FK.
The under apron pocket is perfect for an ipod or pda. The hip pockets stay out of the way when you sit, and the cargo pockets are perfectly placed and sized.
I cannot give a strong enough endorsement of this product. Steve sells more than kilts. I can make a kilt, and a pretty good one too. Freedom Kilts are functional art that will give years of satisfaction.

no, worse is when it gets to the dispatch location early, but they let it sit there, 5 minutes from your house, without letting you go pick it up, but they don't deliver it because it's not the estimated date yet and its not important enough to bother with yet.

Unless a customer lives local to the Kiltmaker it is very rare for us to know how our product stands up to a full years worth of wear.
With the impersonal nature of the internet, most times an order comes in-a kilt goes out. And that is the last you ever hear about it.
Thank you Perldog for this "One Year Anniversary" review.
It truly seems that you have taken this kilt through it's paces.
I'm glad that my product has given you your moneys worth. I know that my Kilts are not the cheapest on the market. I know that I do not offer "Instant Gratification" with Kilts sitting on the rack waiting for someone to plunk their money down. But to us at Freedom Kilts there is a long term definition of value.
Design a Kilt with Traditional Styling that will be worn with pride. In other words, design a "Classic" not a "Fad".
Build a Kilt to last for years of daily wear. Quality materials and attention to the little details is the key.
Custom fit each customer with a kilt that looks good on their body shape not some "Average" mannikin.
Allow the customer to specify the options that fit their lifestyle. Don't put a pocket where it will never get used. Make the kilt fit the job and never expect the customer to "get used to it 'cause that's what I make".
A review like this is worth far more to me as a Kiltmaker than anything else.
Thank you.
