I usually wear the below, as I feel a closer tie to the Corps than I do to any clan. It's the same general size as a clan badge and is made of sterling.

There ya go, James. My boss is a Marine (I know better'n to say, 'was'). I gave him a long tie in the the U.S. Marine tartan, but instead of wearing it, he just keeps it on a shelf at work with his other Marine emblems.
