    Another Isle of Skye

My wife gave me the go ahead to order a new kilt as a Christmas present. What a Lady!

Isle of Skye has been talked about her a lot recently and I had a chance to see Robertson's last August.

Anyway, Scottishkilts.net had them on sale so the day after Christmas I put in my order for a 5 yard, 16 oz IoS kilt. To my surprise it arrived on the 23d of January!

There have been many other pictures recently so I'll only show this one.

It is a really nice kilt. This is my first 16 oz tartan and it is really heavy. The kilt is machine sewn, but fits well and seems well made. I debated over 5 yard or 8 yard. Since I probably will not wear it that often, I saved a $100 and went for the 5 yard. Overall cost was $235 and they put in matching garters. It has a nice weight to it but not too heavy.

I've had good luck with Scottishkilts.net on everything I've ordered so far. The speed of delivery this time was amazing.

I've worn it twice now and gotten good remarks at Church and at the Commissary today.

    Tom

The knitter in me is extremely distracted from the very nice sweater you are wearing. I suppose there is no hope left for me.

The whole ensemble looks rather smashing I think.

Thanks String. The sweater is a treasure. I got it in Dublin a couple of years ago. It still has a faint smell of the barnyard (or should I say sheepfold?)!!

Tis quite a lovely one, and if I may say so I have an eye for good sweaters.
