Whisky in the states?

As here in Ontario. Beer is bought at Brewer's Retail (the Beer Store) that is owned by the large breweries. Nothing in your corner store although some grocery stores sell wine, the only independant liquor sales. Seems to work we can now buy booze until 11pm and on Sunday's. And to think we used to supply Al Capone with his wares.

Beer and wine can be purchased at any convenience or grocery store. Whiskey and other stronger beverages are only available at the state owned stores called ABC(Alcohol Beverage Control ) stores, and they are closed on Sundays and holidays.

You should have specified that you were talking about Virginia. Every state, and sometimes county, is different.

Echoing O'Neill here -
Every state has it's own liquor laws.

I suggest going to one of the local liquor stores and asking if they can special order what you want.

Otherwise, you can likely buy it online - just be prepared for an import tax.

ALTERNATIVELY - there is a whole world of truly fine Bourbons....
