Thank you to all for the warm welcomes and invites.
I am of the Foster/Forrester clan, I believe part of the larger MacDonald clan (at least that is what the books say), descended from the Scots-Irish who settled in what is now western North Carolina more than a few generations back, at least as far as we can trace the ancestry. Me, I am West Virginia born and bred, Ohio raised and educated and professionally trained, and a bit of a migrant worker since, having lived and worked in Jacksonville, FL, Kansas City, Madison, WI, and now Phoenix.
I will definitely check out the sonoran scotsmen and look forward to meeting some of you at "the games" in a couple weeks and perhaps sampling some of the wares at the pub. Not sure if I will be alone or with my wife (first generation american of full blooded Dutch descent, who thinks my kilt and heritage interests are silly----uuhhhh--- of novel interest) and brand spanking newborn son (latest addition to the rabble as of 0845 this morning 2/6). If they join me my duration of stay may be foreshortened a bit but I will at least get to show off my latest heir in his MacDonald Modern infant sized kilt (I think we all know what HE will be wearing beneath his kilt).
Thanks again for all the warm hospitality.
