Yeah I got a Stillwater for practice, hence my wedding is Halloween oof 2009, and I wil l be wearing a HW Irish Saffron from Stillwater Kilts. The Thrifty I bought is of Buchanan Tartan, since that is my said tartan for McGruder (McChruiter.) Some Other names in my family I had trouble finding tartans for;
McChruiter (Irish Scottish)
Biggins (Irish Welsh)
Killian (Irish/german)
Mcnaughton (Scottish/Irish)
Wessel (German/Anglosaxon)
Schaper (German, My grandmother claims her father schapper came from Ireland but the name is German/Viking descent.
Boone (Someone told me it was English, so I pretend that name doesn't exist in my family)
Porter (Norse/Anglo Saxon/ Irish /Welsh/ Scandavanian/ ENGLISH, my family fought over this all the time... will do some geneaology work someday.)
My Grandfather even claims the red-hair comes from...the german genes in the family, and my Grandmother claims its from the Irish parts. I suppose its a combination, but being a "GINGER" and the lack of american ladies who are fond of red hair, made it challenging to say the least.
Porter is my name and my drink. Slailte.
