The Haggis: A Little History by Clarrisa Wright
Is anybody familiar with this book?
Is it worth getting?

Nothing too in-depth, but a delight to read. I have a copy in my library.

I thought that might be the case, which is why I asked. I ran across it when searching out Scottish food ideas. Thanks.

She is always known here by her full name of Clarissa Dickson-Wright.
Some references omit the hyphen but her surname is double barrelled.

Unfortunately, my personal ethics forbid the eating of internal organs, so haggis is right out. I've tried, but it's just not something I can stomach.

You're not alone although I'd try a vegetarian haggis just to say I did.

Most of my personal ethics are based on experience. I've never tried haggis, but I have tried kidney pie, liver, tripe and gizzards.
They all taste about the same to me, regardless of the organ or animal.
