The Humans still in Africa are actually more genetically diverse than all the rest of the world put together - if you count just the differences in the genes rather than ones which make a visible change.
The alterations seen in the rest of the world are visible due to the environment - simply getting a small population separated by mountain ranges or rivers can cause genetic oddities to become genetic normalities.
Skin colour doesn't count so much. Mothers with a high exposure to sunlight and so a high amount of melanin in their bloodstream have darker children than those with the same genetic background who live in low sunlight conditions immediately before and during their pregnancy. It is an epigenetic factor.

I was reading about this earlier. Very interesting. Though, I have green eyes. But, it did get me researching hair colour, too (as my natural colour is ash blonde). I'm a very curious person when it comes to science...

I don't know anything about the non-linear dynamic effect on genetic selection of blue eyes and dark brown hair being pretty together.
Does the wrinkly pea find the smooth pea attractive? Does the smoothe pea only find other smooth peas attractive? Do the peas have a choice?
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

You have to get the peas crossed with the fruit flies first, then they can fly around being attacted to various different peas and/or flies according to their particular inheritance.
If I remember correctly they can have red eyes or brown eyes if they take after the fly parent - maybe white or black eyes if they take after the peas - or is that beans?
Maybe if they are crossed with beans the flies don't need to have wings - or at least not such large wings, being jet propelled....

Oops... Those almonds had legs.
I also think red to rusty hair with green eyes looks quite beautiful, and I stand by my statement that blue eyes with brown hair looks beautiful... I guess it doesn't really matter seeing as how I am blind, but it's the thought that counts.
Oatmeal cookies with raisins anybody?
