    By now, I think everyone knows that FC does not have the sort of communication or customer service SWK does. On the other hand, as it's only been a week since you ordered, why is it a problem already?

    I thought it was clear enough...no communications from them...no answers to emails and no returned phone calls. To me, when a company sells me something and then don't respond to communications by me leads me to believe that if I do in fact have a problem whith the order, I may never get it resolved or it will be a lot more trouble than what it's worth. As of right now, it looks to me to be poor customer service.

    Maybe I didn't make myself clear. Why was it necessary for you to contact them less than a week after you ordered? If several weeks had gone by I might have tried to contact them. However, I don't think it would occur to me to get worried less than a week after I ordered.

    Within moments of the two orders, one to FC and the other to SWK, i received emails from both stating that the orders had been received and shipping is done by USPS 2-3 day priority.

    As noted, I received the order from SWK and heard nothing more from FC so I decided to email them to ensure they had the order and everything was correct (hate to see my order wind up at someone else's house) and receved no answer. I emailed again and no answer. Next I called and left a message asking if they had the order and what the order status was. No answer.

    Does that satisfy your curiosity on this yet, because frankly, I'm getting a bit bored (and annoyed) with explaining my actions to a stranger who seems to want to champion Frugal Corner.

    So, you know that FC's computer got your order.

    This is not uncommon, as you know, if you've read the FC threads. As near as I can tell, SWK ships everyday, FC may not. I've ordered from both FC and SWK (same day). Got shipping notices the same day. FC arrived two days after the SWK.

    This is just a bit uncalled for, don't you think? Generally, we try to be a bit more polite to each other around here.



    Frankly speaking, considering the wealth of information available on FC and their lack of communication skills, and unreliability, the fact that you haven't gotten your merchandise after a week is, to me, a bit of a non-issue. If you haven't received in a month, with no contact, then I think you'd have cause to complain, based on the past track record of FC.

    Frugal Corner is a bit erratic re communications sometimes; BUT they have never ripped anyone off as far as I have heard. Slow to deliver in the past (because they negleted to inform they were waiting for stock to come in) but delivery did come through.
    So, don't fear they'll take the money & run. Mark is honest - if not speedy.

    Stillwater Kilts on the other hand has a magical & mysterious instant delivery system which no one else even tries to beat..

    Without trying to fan the fire and with all due respect, ChromeScholar, you are being a bit course yourself. It's really none of your business why he wants to contact the vendor nor is it valid to the point he was trying to make.
