Tartan Seat covers
Since I now have a new (to me) 2007 Chevy silverado, I think I need tartan seat covers.
Has anybody seen any or know of a source of Tartan Seat Covers for a Chevy Truck?? I think they would look great.
Google has not found any yet.

James, I've never seen a tartan seat cover. You could do what I am doing though and use some tartan to have the seats recovered by an upholstery shop. I provided the tartan and they are using it for the centre panels of the seats and on the door cards.

If I can't find some "ready made" I think I'll do just that. Although, I don't think I'll use expensive wool.

They USED to be common in the 60s-early 80s.
Just look at older British and German cars (HECK, the 1950s Mercedes SL sports cars had them).
I'm not sure the best material, but P/V might be ideal. It was designed as an upholstery fabric originally, but was found to be useful for kilts too. I guess it should be good for car seats.
Rocky thought it might work when I mentioned it to him a while back.
Of course, it would have to be a custom.

A few years back I acquired a couple yards of Burberry Nova Check, camel color, in cotton upholstery weight. Then I bought a pair of cheap seat covers, took them apart, and used the center fabric as the pattern to cut out the Burberry and sew it back into the elastic material to make my own custom covers. It's really not difficult on a regular home sewing machine. No pictures, but I think a daughter still has them, somewhere...

Yeah, I was gonna' say I remember seeing tartan seat covers during the 70's & 80's.
I even remember my Dad's '76 ('77?) Chev stepside p.u. had some sort of tartan inserts on the seats.
