In answer to your question, Phil, I am one who wears a kilt daily, but I don't think any less of anyone if they don't wear a kilt everyday or even if they don't wear a kilt at all. For me, it's just personal preference in clothing.
I'll add my support to the many others who have expressed the hope that you will continue to contribute to our furom regularly. I appreciate your opinion & viewpoint.

Phil, no need to draw back from this forum just because you aren't a daily kilt wearer. I am going through a phase of wearing kilts full time at present - last wore trousers back in September - but that is not to say I will always be a full-time kiltie - in fact my new uniform for the aviation museum includes black trousers, which I will be wearing while working there from Easter onwards.
Your contributions here and much valued and much respected and I hope you will continue to post here regularly.

Phil, the thing most of us here conform to is non-conformity. We range from those who wear nothing but kilts, to occasional wearers, to special event wearers. The thing that draws us together is a love of kilts regardless of how often we wear them. There are very few places where I feel I fit in completely but I realize I have a different mindset than most I encounter. That doesn't stop me from enjoying folks company or from participating in things. I think you should hang around but if you think you need to pull back some just be sure to stop in and join in for a bit.

Phil,
Please reconsider your approach to the forum. I for one have found your contributions very valuable. A short time ago, I developed a curiosity of visiting your nation and your home city. Through the contributions of yourself and other Scots that post here, I have been able to learn further of the culture of a wonderful nation, that when I was young, was of much legend and myth. The truth of expectations as provided by yourself and others has given me pause, that I might respect the people of Scotland properly when I do get to visit. As I have said on other posts on this site, at some time I do desire a formal kit. I hope to visit a Scottish kilt maker with the idea of having everything done just right for the formal occasions in the future. I wish to do so with dignity and respect to the Tartan Kilt and its Scottish heritage. Please keep posting here, that the Kilted People that we are can preserve that important heritage for the future in its proper and respectful form.
Sincerely, Steve

Phil and All X-Markers,
If anyone ever needed to understand the diversity represented by this forum, all they would need is to read this thread. We are a divergent group with many opinions on lots of things. The tie that binds is that we all enjoy wearing kilts.
For some its every day, for others special occasions, for others its.....
I know for me its an afternoons (after work) and weekend attire. I wear pants to teach in and th Church. Should everyone??? No! Should we value every input???
Yes!!! Phil, I too hope you'll come back we are all richer when we share. This is a great part of why I enjoy the forum so much.
Cheers,

Phil I really hate to see you fade off into the background. Though I must say I do agree with your feelings. Most people can see that from my previous posts and I will refrain from pointing out my feelings towards any particular group on this site, I have a feeling the moderaters have had enough of me (especially Mike1...nevermind). I do know how you feel though as I am with you amongst the minority. But hey what do I know to each their own.

Phil, I find your input on this forum valuable, and I hope you don't go too far away for too long. I'm certainly nowhere near a full-time kilt-wearer myself, just for the record. To each their own.
