I live just south of Albany. I believe the next big Scottish event in the Hudson valley is A Celebration of Celts. It will take place on May 3 and 4 at the Columbia County Fair Grounds in Chatham, NY. It's a pretty good event and early enough in the year not to be too hot. (sometimes I get tired of donning 16oz. wool and walking around the dusty 95 degree events in July and August)

I thought everything from Rochester (or at least Batavia) west was Western New York ...

Is an Albany suburb close enough? The Altamont Highland Games are held every Labor Day Weekend in Altamont, NY.

When you live on LI every thing else is Western NY.

Not my area, but my best friend is from Buffalo. He moved down south about 10 years ago.

So . . . where in NY is Orange County?
-All I know about it is that is the location of those bike builder guys.
