From A 17th Century Poem
MacMillan charging with arms gory
Woe! with whom you'll deal,
There's venom in your hatred
But your friendship is like steel.
Of course it reads (and possibly scans) better in gaelic, but sums up the bonds that existed at that time between the MacMillans and the Camerons (for whom my son is named).
My motto, btw, is Friendship Like Steel.
