Some Days I'm Just Proud To Be Kilted
Semper Fi,
Today I'm out and about in my Strathmore Leatherneck tartan kilt hand sewn by Kathy Lare. With MA-1 jacket patched up in honor of my late little brother's USMC service, black shirt, Stillwater leather Nightstalker sporran, Black Lewis kilt hose, red traditional garter ties, Z Coils, and KaBar replica sgian dubh.

Anyhow, I noticed I just feel proud around town and at work dressed this way. Part USMC, part my little brother's memory, part a sharp looking tartan kilt...
It just feels really really good today.

Very good Ron - I really respect the way you have placed "Rest in peace" across the chevrons. You make the memory of your brother proud. I wish more people would find ways to remember our fallen servicemen.
Thanks.

That's only just. It should feel really really good because it looks really really good.

Hey Ron - you forgot to mention that great looking kilt pin!!!
Did you know that the design for the kilt pin comes from the design etched on the Marine Non Commissioned Officers sword?
Looks great!
