Was active on the Utilikilts forum. It was getting pretty messy there, but my only kilt link...Steve Ashton suggested I try X Marks. And I did. As others have stated, at least I could figure out the way it worked - well barely sometimes, a steep learning curve for an olde guy - but never did figure out the others...so here I am...thousands of dollars poorer for buying stuff you rabble reccomend.

I actually found out about X Marks on Myspace, so just for that reason I guess Myspace isn't too bad a site.

A long time lurker, having limited the number of Forums I actually join but many positive comments on other sites led me to see the positive attitude and good humor of those who choose to participate here. So pulling up a stool to the bar I've settled in to enjoy the conversation over a fine single malt.

That and a desire to hear what son Kevin is creating up in the cold North Woods. Guess I'm to blame for his Celtic addiction having tried to figure out early what his father the Carnegie Tech Piper was wearing. Photo circa 1969)
Thanks for the warm welcome I've received.

Like so many others seem to have done, I believe that I found my way here through Matt's Tartan Museum site. I was doing as much research as I could before buying my first kilt, so as to make an informed decision, and ran across XMarks. I remember reading several threads, then not visiting again for a couple of months. Once I found the site again I was hooked, and check in often to get my daily fix of advice, humor and of course updates to Dove's stories. Thanks all for welcoming me and letting me be part of your clan here on the web.
