Good Ole Workin Mans Kilt
If anyone can tell me of good work style kilts. I am a woodcarver and I make alot of chips fly and dust swirl when I am working on bigger projects like chainsaw carvings and such, after recieving my Union Kilt I realized that I really can't wear it during my work because its corded. I recently ordered a SWK nightstalker standard and hope to maybe wear it more while I am working, also plan on picking up a Amerikilt on my next paydate. I know of Utilikilt, but they seem kind of pricey, but I guess in most cases you get what you pay for.
Thanks for all of your help, the site kicks major petootie.

I have a denim Unionkilt that works fantastic for both my wood and metalworking.
If you want something super heavy duty contact RKilts.
Their hemp and leather kilts are costly, but they will last you a lifetime of hard working.

Thats one bad-*** looking rig you have there, looks like the apron I wear when I'm power carving. Maybe for Christmas.

I would love to have a leather Rkilt to knock around in but they are a little to rich for me Arlin. But they do look great.
I have two Amerikilts i wear around the yard.
One is a Tan but its a bit light if its chilly out.
The other is a Forest 100% brushed cotton twill and its the most comfortable kilt of all the kilts i own.Wear it a lot around the house.

Do you think its a bit to early to start hinting to my wife for Christmas?
OH WAIT. I have a birthday coming up in June.

Those prices would probably be a birthday and Christmas, and maybe a couple more holidays for me. I do like quality......as long as it is cheap

Why not Check out Steve from Freedom Kilts? He has some very nice CUSTOM (in both measurements and pockets) "Work Kilts". I have 2 and love them both.
Also, for custom work, check out Robert from Rkilts. I hear very good things about his hemp. I have a Leather Rkilt and love it.
For a "quicker fix" and a solid product, check out Utilikilts Workman's model.

I'm guessing you might be able to write off a leather kilt as a work safety garment.
The Utilikilt leather kilt is made for leisure but would work for work, only they don't seem to be sewing them up anymore. A working man would probably need the pockets available on RKilts anyway.
If you have knives and chisels flying around seems like leather is the prudent choice, particularly if your accountant confirms the tax deduction.
You can trust Robert at RKilts completely. You'll get more than fair value, whatever your accountant decides about the expense.
