Lifting a Kilt
Outta curiosity, how do yall react when a stranger lifts your kilt?
No answer to The Question is sought - these numpties simply grab a handful of pleats and lift, or in other circumstance are perhaps are more tactile in seeking information.
I've always been of the opinion that it's a bit rude. They seem to take advantage that I'm pre-occupied with piping. Slapping a hand would interrupt playing, so I blindly kick backwards like a barnyard Jenny. Rarely makes contact, but no one has ever made the attempt twice.

Hands off....game on!
It is rude, me thinks!
I look but don't touch. I am even careful looking if the gent is with a lady.
It's a respect thing.
I do have a mirror (really). I ask permission though.

Right on. That's my point. THE double standard!

I find it extremely insulting!
It happened to me; a guy did it! I spun around and said loudly; "If you want to keep your teeth, I suggest you keep your hands to yourself; unless of course you'd like to ask me out on a date- if so, help yourself sweetheart".
His friends roared with laughter, and kept calling him 'sweetheart' . He was most uncomfortable. (Didn't ask me out, by the way).

While I was standing at a bar waiting for my drink, I felt the back lifting up. I said "hey man!" as I turned around with two clenched fists and one was in the ready position. I was ready to lay him out, but he just backed way.
Do people think that we'll just let them look? That because we're dressed differently they get to poke and prod?

I once heard someone respond, "You're out of prison, you can get a girlfriend now!" It cracked me up. The only time it's happened to me, I saw her coming, intercepted her arm, and said, "Lass, y'c'n look if y'like, but you've got to kiss whatever y'find." She didn't carry on.

I've had many a lady (I use the term loosely) lift up my kilt. They think its cute, I don't. I would never disrespect a lady by doing the same to her.

Hasn't happened to me (yet) but Man or woman, someones catching the scare of their life if they try. In Kentucky that act is considered a Sexual Assault. Just imagine the reaction of grabbing a mans kilt and finding out the guy can not only whip you up and down the street but then arrest you and make your next "neighborhood introduction" a tense one.
