OK, I'll be the crumudgeon and tell him to hike it up about 3".

The length seems OK to me, I mean, it seems to come to the middle of his knees. I'm guessing he must be a tall lad to wear the waist that low & still have the bottom of the kilt at his knees with the standard SWK 24" length.

What's not to like - he's wearin' a kilt & gotta big smile on his face!

I wouldn't wear it that low, but I'm not going to tell a younger generation how to wear anything. They have their own rules. He'll hike it up on his own after several years of paying taxes, having a family, and working overtime.
