Seeing the quality of this kilt, I believe when I finish loosing the weight I may get the 6 yarder in the made-to-measure for £40 more. That still ends up as quite a decent price for made-to-measure kilt in a weight that works well for the NY area climate.

I would bet that all your hand-made tanks are cut out so don't bother undoing anything.

I wasn't planning to undo anything.

They are lovely and will compliment the kilt with various choices of hose.

    Great review Chef!

I'd love to get a look at that. Hopefully, you'll be wearing it to a NYC kilt night sometime.

Very nice looking kilt (especially for an off the peg). Seeing as it's wool, did you have to pay any extra import tax on it?

I specifically asked them to ship via Royal Mail, so the shipping was only $20 and there was no import duty.

On the other hand I might seriously think about spending the other $80 for the made-to-measure version of this kilt. Who knows this one may be for sale soon.
If you do decide to do that, I call first dibs =D 38" waist 23.5" drop basically exactly my measurements, and Iv'e wanted an IOS for a while now. I don't wear kilts that often (Gasp! sorry!), but when I do, I want to look my best, and IoS is one of the best looking tartans, bar none.

If you don't go that route soon, I may just have to purchase one of their off the shelf ones myself !

But you would replace it with a made-to-measure IOS?
