That is one awesome sporran, Lamar's handwork and the detailing on these sporrans is fantastic.
We had a great time Saturday night, Matt shared some of his vast knowledge of tartans with us, his presentation was enjoyed by all.

In spite of the fact that Turpin is my brother, I'm really seriously thinking about a Ferguson Britt sporran

Go for it Bro. I'm thinking the same thing. I can't compete with that level of craftsmanship. I just charge less for a well-made product.

I had missed this thread somehow, but now seeing the up close and inside pictures of that ferguson britt sporran... I really need to save up and get myself a nice beaver fur ferguson britt. They certainly are crafted fine enough to be worn for any occasion, formal, semi, or even just out and about with a "wana pet my sporran?" tshirt.
Hrm, maybe i'll use my "rebate check" for that in a month or two... *ponders*

They are very nice sporrans. They remind me of the ones in the McIan paintings. Does he do one in a badger? And if so, what would be the price tag on that?

Yup, a brand new one in badge fur would be $375. Oh, and the badger is sooooooffftttt...... Before Bradley snatched his up, I pet that one quite a bit. :-)

I like fur sporrans because they are like pets but without the needed care.
