On the regular box pleat, I was thinking of something like what Matt makes except with canvas. Cloves pointed out that some X-Kilts are a box pleat and the pleats are sewn in.
I'm sure the pictures are of the regular kind, can't really look at them. 
The first idea was to use a rolled military box pleat on a canvas or canvas-like kilt, and I wondered if that was being made by anyone.
