I have a couple of pares of SWK hose, and they're pretty good. For the price, they're great...
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

Just received from the Scottish Lion about their Piper's Hose:

    Mr. Holmes.

The colored piper hose (item #KHB) are 70% wool and 30% nylon. The off white piper hose are 40% wool 40% acrylic and 20% nylon. I hope this helps.

    Kind Regards,
    Melinda

Not bad for $22 hose. Comfy too, and nice looking. Very substantial.

This thread could not have come at a better time.
I need some kilt hose. I have some thin cheap coloured hose that are really useless. I have three pair of off white wool hose, that I love. I love wool, and I love colour. Thanks everyone for the information.
    XMTS rocks.

Just ordered up some of the Bottle Green hose, and plan to follow up with some Navy & some Black.

Thought about the "Highland Green" too. I'm told its a tad lighter in color than Bottle, more of a "mossy" color.

    Steve,

Just received a pair of Bottle Green piper hose from Scottish Lion today
They are really nice & thick too! I'm pleased & I'm sure you will be too.

Soon as I get a camera to use (sorry, mine's on the blink) I'll post pics.
Next pay check, though I need to order my new Craigie sporran, I'm planning on purchasing a pair of Navy hose.

p.s. -- just received my Traditional Garter Ties from the Scottish Tartan Museum as well!
    Man, it's like Christmas today!!

Now all I need is my Newsome Box Pleat (in 'Modern' Mackay)
