I like the feel of pants at night when I'm just waiting to dose on the couch. I like many things about pants. But, I love kilts.
To show my love, I spent more on kilts in 6 months than I did on pants in over a year. But pants, they will be with me till I go. Can't where a kilt on a oil rig.

I wear a kilt about once a week. Sometimes it is more convienent to throw on my casual kilt than a pair of jeans. I have hardly any time, and a very small wardrobe of clothes and accessories for my traditional kilts so they only see the light of the day every once in a while. I dont think I will ever be kilted 100%. My view is in line with Jamie's "the kilt is a fashion option." To those who wear the kilt all the time, I support that 100% as well. We are all unique individuals with unique views. Wear the kilt as much as you feel comfortable doing so.

If I am bifurcated anymore, it is usually sweats. They're easy to put on, and they don't hurt. They still drive me crazy though. I own 2 pair of trousers (that fit). One pair of Dickies Industrial Cargo pants, and one pair of dress slacks. Then again, I haven't tried on the other pants lately, and I have been losing weight...But I'm not interested in wearing pants, so I really don't know when I'll find out if the others fit.

I wear a kilt all the time exept when working on my old cars though I have sometimes had to repair something in my kilt. Have a pair of trousers for funeral wear as I do not think the kilt is good for a funeral

That's a new one for me. Why do you think that the kilt would not be proper for a funeral?
I have been to several funerals kilted, and I didn't feel that way. I try to dress in a manner that is respectful (shirt, tie, jacket, etc) and I surely don't think that the kilt is out of place.

My very good friend and mentor, Bishop MacFerran, passed away last spring. I had acted as the Bishop's 'chaplain' (more of an assistant than anything) for some time before he passed and so we were quite close. He had a full ecclesiastical funeral involving two churches (the Anglican and Old Catholics). I asked if it would be appropriate if I wore my kilt and all--family and clergy alike--assured me it would be fine. The family also thought the Bishop would have gotten a chuckle out of it. After the funeral various members of the family approached me and thanked me for wearing the kilt. They all thought it was very appropriate.
