Good luck. Cocus and rosewood usually indicate chanters of Pakistani origin, and not very good tone. They are often not full size (i.e. the same size as a bagpipe chanter) so will cause some fingering problems later on if you go that far.

If you are serious about the pies, find and instructor, either private lessons or with a pipe band.
