I realize I'm new here, but to quote a friend of mine from another Forum, when talking about differing viewpoints, "If the two of us are alike, then one of us is unnecessary." Ceart dhomh, ceart dhut.
"My beloved America, thank you for your children. If your children want to become soldiers I will train them. When they are hungry I will feed them. When they are thirsty I will give them water. When they fight for freedom I will lead them. When they are unsteady on the battlefield I will motivate them. If they die on the battlefield I will bury them. So help me God."

Alan,
As someone who is on XMTS far more than can possibly be good for me I will tell you that you aren't being "overly sensitive". What has come of this thread is the realization that the good here on X Marks the Scot far, far outweighs the bad.
We all have an obligation to be polite and respectful to each other.
Each one of us when we registered had to read the forum rules and agree to them.
We have a responsibilty to follow them. If someone can't, then they really aren't a part of XMTS and they need to go elsewhere. That is far better than to stay here under the false pretense that they are part of this community.
We all contribute our own little bit to make this place what it is. I have learned so much here (and laughed quite a bit along the way).
Cheers
Jamie

As a new poster I am really impressed by the quality of posts and the general civility of the conversations. I had a less than satisfactory transaction and it was discussed politely and without rancour. That's what I came here for, and why I stay. I have also learnt a tremendous amount about kilts and all sorts of sundry topics. I like it here.

I think that while this forum has less backstabbing and arguing than many forums it is still an excellent plan to raise up rather than pull down. No arguing from me, only praise where praise is due.

I realize that as a new member I may not have afforded each and all of you ample opportunity to come to know and appreciate the universal infallibility of my analysis, opinions, viewpoints, outlook, attitude and overall sense of "correctness". I will extend my assistance at this time to all in need.
When you are in need of a correct opinion, I will of course provide it. Need a proper and correct response to another's post? I can also provide. Need an accurate and complete assessment of another member's picture, outfit, opinion, comment, craftwork, or idea? These too I am willing to provide for you. All in the interest of harmony.
I do all this to simplify your lives, and facilitate the peaceful, calm, brotherly sharing of correct ideas, thinking, and viewpoint. Please don’t thank me too much, one does what one can. Any of you who do not wish to take advantage of me selfless endeavors are certainly free to be as incorrect, misguided, ill informed, or just plain wrong as you choose to be. I won’t hold it against you. Really I won’t.

Did someone say Green Tights... I found this in my Picture Archive ... A result of reading Glens dream about Graham.....

As a moderator of this particular non-functioning new kilt forum I would rap your knuckles for mocking our non-function new kilt forum's owner, however the knuckle rapping fuction is not working right now but is slated for upgrade as soon as Freedomkilts.com/accesories/heritagehose is corrected.
