Help me, please
Does anyone know what tartan this is?

I want to get my youngest a kilt, he has sensitivity issues with pants (made for kilts, this boy was). I am on a really tight budget and this one is his waist size and affordable, but I'd like to know what affiliation, if any, this one has. (a.k.a. I want to be respectful and at least know what it is)
DH wears black and Black Watch and we have plans to get him one in his clan's tartan (MacLean) sometime this year....
Thanks in advance,
~G

First, welcome from Fairbanks, Alaska! Second, I bet you will have an answer within an hour or two at most. There are some very sharp and helpful folks here!

It is a poor photo so, it is tough to tell.
Here is the link to sport kilt offerings:

I saw this too, you may just want to ask

Follow Kilted in Maine's link then look for the kilts for the younger set. The price should be a little better that the adult models. Sounds like your boy is starting out right.

I think I found which tartan it is, but thank you everyone

I think it's this one. I did email the seller, they had no idea, and I emailed the store, too.
I asked my son if he'd rather have this one or a Wallace one, and he said "BOTH!" lol. I'll try to win this one and then budget for the other one next month (I think I'll get it from SWK, can't beat the price for the kiddos).

That's a Sport Kilt. I don't believe they've ever produced a kilt in the Michigan St. U tartan, though I could be wrong! Not sure what hte tartan is, but it's not quite the Michigan St. U. tartan, if you look closely. I suspect this is one of their "universal" tartans, possibly one of their "Irish" tartans.

Yes, after I posted that I got an e-mail from Sportkilt. He told me he didn't think it was an actual tartan and he is looking to see if they have any more material so he can get me the name. (so very nice!)
Someone hear said it in another thread, but I believe kilt-wearers are pretty friendly
Again, thank you all for helping me with this, even though I am new
