I have seen,to my cost, such a faux pas happen.Amazingly a stag was shot late in the evening after a gruelling 15 mile walk and I know full well that the stag was lying within a mile of home and could have been shot within an hour of the day starting.I knew what had happened even before the storm of complaints landed around my ears.Don't worry the keepers, stalkers and ghillies are real experts in their field and they are used to people getting things wrong----ONCE!
