If my only choices were those 2 I'd personally go with the one at the top. Looks like it would "cut" at the right place in relation to the kilt.
Hope this helps.

P.S. The exact same jacket costs less at sixstaruniforms.com out of Brooklyn, NY. It is only a few dollars less, but every little bit helps!

I've gotta echo JerseyLawyer. I wouldn't go with either. You might try contacting Kathy Lare. Will your drive take you through Albuquerque by chance? If so, that might be the BEST route. She rents PC jackets (and full kilt outfits for that matter.) She's located in ABQ, so if you are driving through there you may be able to work something out with her for your time frame of pick up and return. She's a great lady and VERY great to work with. I rented my PC for my wedding a couple of years ago from her, I believe it cost me a whopping $25-30. I would say that cost is justifiable considering the jacket you'll be wearing.

No No No No No! Don't get either, especially not to wear with kilt! I go along with the chap who said get a black Argyle, which can do for day or evening. If you can't do that couldn't you wear kilt, waistcoat and some sort of clerical surplus or academic gown?

I would recommend phoning her, as she spends lots of time sewing and doesn't check her email too often. Best of luck. I think given your situation, this is the best route.

I emailed her, and I will be calling her later this afternoon. Thanks for the advice.
