Talk about Jonesing!
Oh man, I grabbed my coffee this morning and settled in at the desk and BAM! site is down for back up. What is up with that? I was forced to read "other" forums and I didn't like it! Nope, not one bit! (One hiking site was still fighting and arguing over some retarded issue and was up to 5 pages of whining.)
I mean, I had to wait more than 15 minutes!
It's OK, the site is back, I'm better now. (I went away for a minute but I'm back now)
Whew, That was close!

I know the feeling! The other night it was backing up and I was locked out for at least 10 minutes!

The option is to not run back-ups and if disaster strikes we'll have nothing to come back to visit.
Suddenly, those back-ups aren't such a problem after all, eh?

I'm not complaining one bit. I'm just asking that you adjust it to MY schedule. I'll pm any changes to it .

And I thought it was personal...glad to know others are experiencing withdrawal symptoms too.

Complain if you choose, it's of no matter to me. I've become quite proficient at turning a deaf ear to those that complain about nothing.
Actually, the back-up is run as a scheduled cron job. And it obviously has a schedule of its own. It is meant to run at 2:00 Eastern Time, but I just checked and it ran at 1:04 AM, this morning. <shrug>
From where I sit, I don't mind it interrupting the forum for a couple minutes. The alternative could lead to an interruption measured in days.

Grant,
We forwarded your schedule requests to your personal Moderator, being of course McMurdo. Betwen bouts of hysterical laughter he indicated that we should just proceed as needed.

Typical McMurdo thinks of nothing but himself, what about my personal needs? Should this not be his only priority?
