Not a history buff either, or wasn't, but am becoming one, expecting Sons of the Mountains volumes 1 & 2 very shortly. Ordered them after buying the Warriors painting.

And, have poked around the Pennsylvania backwoods memorials to that era.

Ron.....Sons of the Mountains volumes are a great read.....one of our bibles in the Highland regiments. This is a big year for us as it's the 250th anniv. of Fort Ti "last" great Highland charge, and 250th of Fort Ligonier, where our 77th was stationed with Forbes and Bouquet and Montgomery. Malcolm

My ancestors fought on both sides at Ticonderoga later, during the Revolution. Kinda spooky...if they'd killed each other, or one the other, I'd not be here...
