    March NorCal Rabble Kilt Night

The weather almost cooperated for a very nice beer...err...umm...kilt night on Friday at The Devil's Canyon Brewery. A new X-Kilt was revealed and a we met an old member, and continued to try to get a lurker to declare himself. Panache was kilt checked with style (yes, I'll post family friendly pics), and the children mimed a classic.

    So, here's the visual tour....

First (and most important), a new X-Kilt, made by a fairly new member-Farlander. This is made from bull denim. It is a VERY well made kilt and the material is suprisingly soft (apparently a good wash in hot water softens it up nicely). It did wrinkle nicely, so I did not take a straight pleat shot-looked rather unkempt from behind.

I don't think we managed to get a shot of everyone present, but here's a sampling.

Farlander, way2fractious and Keith (he's actually a member as well, but has been absent for a time as I gathered):

This motley crew includes, from left to right: This nice fellow who likes to hang out with us, whose name I can't remember, but he says he's going to get a kilt real soon, at which point I'll try harder to get his name down; myself; way2fractious; Farlander; and Bill (who is a lurker-come on, jump in Bill, the water's fine!). Yes, the picture's fuzzy-I was designated driver, and I obviously did not take the picture did I!?

Another shot of way2fractious and Farlander:

Coming up, kilt and sporran inspections, children hamming it up...

    Be well,

Here's the littlest member of the Kilt Police, doing her job of Sporran Inspecting:

This one was silly, and had a big nose (yes, it's a nose, folks, get your minds out of the gutter).

But, she liked this one best because it was so blue and fluffy!

Panache caught the attention of the Kilt Inspectors as he was posing to show off his deer stalker hat and how well it goes along with the Inverness Cloak.

They invited him behind the bar....

    And, apparently, he got fresh!

So, she returned the favor (Grant, eat your heart out!)

    So, we say good night.

See No, Hear No, Speak No Evil:

Sorry Tim, Alan, et al-I was not a very good photographer, so you didn't get posted-next time, I'll leave the camera with Jamie and he'll document better.

    Be well,

I see Panache only waxes his knees. For a place that advertises "FOOD No Beer" there seems to be too much meriment going on!

Looks like another fine mix of kilts and beer. Thanks for the photos.

Wow. That looks like a fun evening!

It's amazing that Panache manages to look so debonair while being kilt checked.
