Stopped in to a pharmacy on my way home from a ceremony dressed like this:

I have had people not notice the kilt from time to time...usually when I'm wearing a t-shirt with some saying on it. My other half will come up and ask, "commenting on the kilt?" and the other person looks down and says, "oh, you're wearing a kilt!"

I had that happen a couple days ag in a Joe's Crab Shack. The girl that greeted us was very gothic looking. I was wearing my Nightstalker and Iron Maiden Killers hockey jersey. She said "Maiden!! Sweet!!" My wife said "Ususally people just comment on the kilt." The goth girls eyes them went my neather regions and bugged out of her head. She spent the whole evening hitting on me in front of my family... It was actually pretty funny. My other half got a kick out of it.
