I was at the Salvation Army op-shop yesterday and I saw an old Tosca handbag, and I thought I might be able to use the strap as a sporran strap. The bag was only a couple of bucks so I thought I'd chance it. The strap is slightly too long, so I'll have to shorten it. But that shouldn't be too hard.

Unfortunately the belt is not real leather, but is very good quality fake leather. I like the clips though, seem to be very good quality.

(I did feel a bit odd in the op-shop though when I was putting a hand bag around my waste.)

On second thoughts, I think I'll feel more manly wearing one made from a rein.

I've just swung a deal (well, I hope it's a deal!) for a Arctic Fox Sporran and I want to get a strap rather than a chain. I'm going to look into these options, Thanks for sharing!

I always felt awkward trying on belts in the women's department in a motorcycle jacket... I think the purse strap should work fine, 'guzzi. And it shouldn't take much to shorten it up.
