Welcome to the forum and congrats on renewing the vows. Sadly I don't have any Stillwaters (yet) but as you'll learn on here, they are highly recommended. I understand the standards are real good kilts, but you might want to consider saving a little longer and going for the heavyweight since it is for such a special occasion. But that's just my opinion and we all know what opinions are like. Bellybuttons. So anyway congratulations and welcome to the rabble and the addiction.
Of course your wife will need some matching tartan accessories, and a broach, new shoes and......

Welcome John,
You have lots of time to plan and save for a kilt worthy of such an honored occasion.
Before you make your final decision, do your self a favor and drop in on your local kiltmaker Robert MacDonald
http://www.westcoastkilts.com/produc...ices.php#Kilts
And go see Steve Ashton at Freedom Kilts in Victoria. Just push the link in the header above.
Having face to face input with a full range of kilts will help you make your final decision.
And, if nothing else, you're gonna look a lot sharper in a made-to-measure kilt than in an off-the-rack kilt.
Honor your vows, honor your wife with the sharpest look you can afford.

Welcome to the Rabble!
I'll echo what others have said:
1. You'll be hard-pressed to find better value and service than what Jerry at Stillwater offers.
2. Your accessories depend mainly on how formal you want the event to be, and
3. Because it is a special occasion, you might want to explore other options that probably cost more but will fit better better (being custom-made for you.)
Congratulations on renewing your vows...now that is special.

Following on from my earlier post and thoughts by others here (particularly what Ron - Riverkilt - has advised) I'll just add this. I've just received my first Stillwater Heavyweight having been wearing a Standard and the difference between the two is immense. If you're on a limited budget but still wanting something impressive, the Heavyweights are definitely the way to go if you choose Stillwater.
Just my 2c worth. Hope you make a good decision. It's sure to be a well-informed one if you're using XMTS!
All the best

My suggestion would be to invest in a kilt that you could pass down to future generations.
