    Next kilt....?

So, I am thinking of getting another kilt. I am thinking something semi-traditional, tartan. On my list of potentials: SWK heavyweight, USAK casual, Sport Kilt "The Works".

I am really leaning toward SWK, but can't get custom length, and 24' is way too long for me, as I learned from my last SWK.

Also, I don't want to spend a ton of money right now, so 175usd is about my limit.

Any thoughts, opinions, or reviews would be appreciated. Thanks!

My vote is for USAK. I'm quite pleased with mine. Rocky was easy to work with.

If SWK won't do the custom length for you than USAK is the way to go. A friend of mine has a Sport kilt the works and for the money I wouldn't order one. Not enough pleats and actually looks very inexpensive up close. But hey that is just my opinion.

The USA Kilt is the ONLY option, IMO.

Most "standard" kilts come in 24" and are too long for me also at 22". I have a wonderful lady nearby who charges $25-30 to alter my kilts. So a SWK heavyweight would fit into your overall budget if that were the case. Just a thought.

I was under the impression that SWK was offering custom lengths these days. But maybe that's not for the heavyweights?

I'm not a big fan of wool, and I know the tartan selectin is far more limited at SWK. And since sportkilt uses (I believe) 2 oz. fabric, I would try USAK. I don't have one myself, but they sound good and if I ever get the urge for another moderately inexpensive tartan kilt, they will be at the top of the list.

    Usak

Go with a USAK. I am wearing my semi-trad right now and am loving it. Excellent craftsmanship and customer service for the price.

Out of those options I would also say go for the USA Kilt, Rocky is great to work with and the product you get is well worth the money.
