Camping Mirror?

If you are camped close to your car/pickup/suv/go-kart or whatever you drive just get a cheap wall mirror from Wal Mart, Target, or whoever and leave it in your vehicle. Then you can take it out for inspection and stow it away when you are done.

I wear a heavy 16oz kilt when camping in cool weather, polyvisc in summer. I just look down to be sure everything lines up before I return to civilization. I have about as much use for a mirror when camping as I do a watch.

Just kidding. Seriously, though- I go to the boonies and camp, so my USAK semitrad is out of the question. I take a cheap, rugged SWK heavyweight for the chillier nights, and my Amerikilt for the days. No need for pleat checks when camping. That's the beauty of camping!!

Yes, I was taught the only reason to carry a mirror camping was when you were solo and had to stitch your head back together without help. Also don't forget the dental floss for the same reason...

Actually what you propose sounds good! I'll bet your friends will have a blast trying out the kilted life in your mirror, or better yet, let them look at each other and describe what they see!

I'm with the no mirror crowd when it comes to camping. If I need a mirror to see how I look then I'll check into a hotel.

I've never seen the need or use for a mirror while camping. However, if there's ever been a time when I need to check something out (look for ticks on my back, or see how badly I just cut up my face in a fall) I've taken a photo of myself with my digital camera, and then zoomed and panned in the screen on the camera to see how things look.

That said, I'd think that as long as you pick your outfits ahead of time, you shouldn't need to use a mirror at the music festival.
