    Thanks Chris,

But what type of material is your kilt made of...did it cost a few dollars or $500...? Does it have a brand name.

Not being picky...it just makes a difference with accessories....or at least I think so.
I got my kilt just over ten years ago when I visited Scotland. I was measured and got it custom made. It cost around the $500 mark.

Thanks for the link to the Slanj web site, that is what I'm looking for. However the button up shirt looks great too. Any chance you might have a link to that one?

    Hi and welcome.j

I have a sporran in the works and need to quit procrastinating and get it done. Its a muskrat hide (currently tanned and stretched sitting in the top of my closet) and will end up being a full mask sporran for my son. I got a lot of tips from Turpin, who makes some really fantastic sporrans. He was kind enough to give my son his first full mask sporran. An awesome skunk that my son simply loves.

Check out the do it yourself section of the board for more tips.

You might try taking the bear skin to anyu really good leathersmith that does work on motorcycle garments. Go in with a sporran that you already have and if they're worth their salt they can replicate it and add any touches you might want. There's a guy here who has done some custom work on my jacket by adding bear teeth and some elk ivory

Welcome from PA in the USA. You are right, kilts are chick magnets, even for a fat, gray haired, old guy.

As someone said check out the DIY section of ideas on sporran design. I wonder how it would look with a paw as the flap since the head is to large?
