Well done and good for you.I hope you don't mind me asking, but what do you think your director etc. and the audiance's reaction would have been to you wearing a tartan kilt with say a PC jacket and bow tie, dress shoes etc.?Should you have wanted to,of course.

I don't think the director would of liked if it was a tarten because then their wouldn't be uniformity(I hope thats a word).

Congratulations, Mowgli! That's a very cool thing to be able to do: singing in the chorus, and wearing the kilt too. Just out of curiousity, what was the programme that night?

It sounds like a sharp outfit. You need to get a pic of the whole ensemble and post it. I'm sure you were the most comfortable man there.

If you want to see the most accepted ways of wearing the kilt and accessories, see Hamish's albums. He's generally accepted as the ambassador of proper kilt wear. So, one usually wouldn't wear a black kilt with a black kilt jacket and black kilt hose.

I was directed by the chorus manager to wear all black if I wanted to go kilted.

Ron, I thought about the Utilitux, but I like the look of the black shadow better. Thanks for the suggestion.

Macman, we did Ravel's Daphnis et Chloe. At first glance it looks like it would be easy to do - no words, just ah's and ooh's, but is complex in structure - many time signatures, odd chords and having to jump in and have pitches just right. It came off well though.
