hmm i may check on that mark ... as you know most of us in kc leave the plaza to the tourist so i havent been there since the christmas lighting sorry to offend jock of the uk food groups i do enjoy pub fare but then again im not one for fine dining anywhere i could try and make my own but i want it done right and i dont know if i trust me

even cats won't touch it.... good haggis is is really tasty, as is black pudding (okay, I'll admit they may be an acquired taste for some, just like pre-sweetened ice tea is an acquired taste). A good haggis should be moist, not that dry-as-sawdust hamburger helper stuff that pretends to be haggis and is often served at Burns' Suppers in the USA and Canada to poor, unsuspecting Scots long removed from their ancestral homeland.
Perhaps that "Ace" Kilt Snob Chef would care to venture an opinion on haggis?

I have had all 4 types of Caledonian Kitchen haggis and found them to be very tasty. For Burns Night we did a haggis tasting and each of the guests found one that they said that they liked.
That being said, remember that it is a sausage with a coarse barley filler and you can enjoy it for what it is.

I've had the Caledonian Kitchen canned beef haggis several times. The taste of liver is very subdued as Jim uses highland coos as his main meat ingredient. I've tried the lamb once and it was similar in its lack of liver. Either are well worth the price for those wanting an Americanized sample.

I like Cameron's.
You also might consider condiments; a good Guinness gravy with caramelized onions, or the more traditional splash of whisky.

Wee wifie has a great fondness for clapshot haggis. She orders it at most every opportunity when we're traveling in Scotland.
I must admit clapshot haggis is rather tasty. None of that revolting liver taste.
I've been 'blessed' with the ability to detect liver in any dish, no matter how small the quantity. It's difficult for me to comprehend that anyone can enjoy the taste of that awful offal.
