Britain in Colo[u]r
I'm usually not a fan of the Daily Mail, but this article was interesting. These are the first color photos of Britains, and they are very beautiful.

These aren't recolored or touched up, these are original color prints from 1913-1924

They have an appealing quality to them. I'm guessing they are autochromes, a kind of photography done with potato starch.

These are beautiful pictures. I especially liked the two from Cornwall - the locals in front of the old ruined houses and the narrow cobbled street in St. Ives.

They are probably autochromes which was the main colour process of that period.

They certainly help to make past seem more lifellike.
