Peine Highland Games in Germany this Weekend

Highland Games are being held in Germany this weekend at the town of Peine in Germany, just south of Hannover.

Festivities start at the town square around 10am on Saturday and continue into the evening with a celtic band "The Keltics"

Events continue on Sunday from around 10 am until about 5pm.

I will be attending Saturday and maybe part of Sunday.


Other Highland Games that I am aware of are:

13-15 June at Xanthen (near the Dutch Border)
5-6 July at Angelbachtal (South and east of Heidelberg)
5-6 July at Halle (West from Leipzig)
20-21 September at Machern (Just east of Liepzig)

Last year I went to Peine, Angelbachtal, and Machern. I'll try to hit at least these this year.

There are quite a few kilted X Mark folk in Germany. Any that I have missed?

There were 10 to 12 pipebands at the ones I visited.
