About a year ago, I was in Houston for a meeting. I was walking through a mall on the way to meet with Zardoz when a guy at one of the booths asked if I was from Scotland. I turned to him and said, "No, Colorado." The VERY confused look on his face was priceless.

Now there is a question I have never had asked, While in a training meeting last week we had to give a fun or unusaul fact about ourselves. So the only thing that came from me was that I wear kilts to which the first question was " Are You Scottish" followed by "Do You Play The Bagpipes".

I don't know what I'll do the day someone talks to me with a nice accent like that while wearing a kilt. *swoon*
Sounds like you had a nice day with some nice attention ![Very Happy](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

Cynthia, I know what you mean. I spent 5 years of college in Southern Illinois, And that accent I picked up took another five years to get rid of.

How far south? My family is from Cairo, Illinois It is funny how quickly you can pick up an accent and then how hard it is to get rid of it though, isn't it? ![Laughing](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)
