Arlen, was there any reports of Patrick Dempsey attracting the midges with his mini-kilt in Made of Honour

I spent the day yesterday helping with an outdoor event for the charity I work for, we were swarmed by midge type bugs. I think I enhaled about 6 pounds of them. They love it down by the river.

The tesco brand bug repellent spray worked very well for us when we visited scotland a few years back.

We still have one spray bottle left. My wife hoards our one bottle of it and wont let me near it because she says that she gets bitten more often. Occasionally we arm wrestle for the bottle, but it's no use....she's been working out at the gym a lot lately.

Two words: Texas cockroach. If you don't have a cat, they'll rid your house of rats...so, I hear.

Even though it would have resulted in years of hearing how evil I was, I sooooooooooooo wish I had taken that photo!

Of course, since I was being swarmed, too, the photo of you probably wouldn't have turned out because there were flies all around me, blocking out the view!

Ah, good times! It really was a fun day...except for those flies!

I still feel like swatting you for even suggesting it, Christopher :P Heheh. Yeah, I don't know how you would've taken the photo. It would've have been interesting to see if one even turned out thanks to the huge cloud of flies swarming us.

Except for that little moment, it was a great day

Repelling all boarders (or midges / mosquitos)

I was in Sri Lanka recently and they recommend an Ayurvedic preparation - citronella oil, prepared from a distillate of the skins of oranges and lemons. It smells a bit acrid (as well as of oranges / lemons) but it works like a charm!
