    I like it!

It just goes to show all that the kilt is a modern and ever evolving style of dress. Wearing a glengerry or balmoral all the time would get pretty boring.

Also I encourage you and everyone to wear a hat so that you might escape the skin cancer thying that I am now fighting. That can be the pits! Much better to wear a hat, or to have a full head of flowing locks...

I'm going to echo what most have said: the hat looks good and my vote is that it stays.

Now tip the hat and tip a pint for me on your next trip to the pub.

As you know Derek, I am not a hat wearer either - haven't been since I left the years of school-cap wearing - so I am probably not the best one to ask but, to me, that one looks fine on you ....... gives you a sort of Australian look! I quite like it, in fact - on you, but it wouldn't work on me!

    Take care,
    Ham.

That's what I was thinking. It reminds me of an Australian Akubra hat.

Great hat! Looks good on you and with that outfit. Might have some lift in a wind, though!

Looks great, Derek. I don't own any hats like that, but I just might get one.

That's a fine hat and it goes well with the kilt. And it looks nice on you.

Looks like a fine outdoors hat. I have a Tilley that I wear at work (and home) while out in the sun, but have not tried it kilted since it does tend to get a bit dirty from all the construction sites I am on. I'd vote for keeping the hat.
