    Idea Test...

I came up with an idea two days ago and I want to see what others reactions would be.

I do a great number of crafts. I'm a craft-a-holic. Anyway, one of my crafts is bead work. I used to be able to do full scale loom Indian beadwork though it's been years since I've done any of it but I can get back into it.

I once did a project for a guitar strap in a Indian pattern. And I'm wondering if I could duplicate clan tartans in a beaded pattern if it would be a popular idea. Just an idea and thought to see general response. Once it's doable it could be done in a number of ways. Vases, necklaces, guitar and purse straps... etc...

Also if this is an idea that someone else has had, I swear, I did not know.

I think that would be a very cool idea, personally.

It would be quite a bit of work, though, as many tartans are quite complex.

Sounds cool. It'd be pretty neat. Not my thing, really, but sounds like a good idea.

Sounds good to me, and in my four tears here, I have not seen it suggested before.

Sounds like it might be a nice look for a casual sporran, either the flap or possibly the whole front face. Possibly the wide kilt belts too. Will have to give some more thought to it for other possible ideas.

yes it would work and you can get the computer software called bead creator which will take a photo and convert it to a bead pattern and give you your shopping list for bead colors. Its great and not too expensive. it also will give you the patterns for loom, peyote and other beading styles. Beading is one of my hobbies as well. When I get my new sewing room finished I will post photo's.
